Hey, I’m Sana!

I was raised in Chicago, lived in San Francisco for six years, and now currently residing in Brooklyn, NY. My love for creativity began ten years ago through creative writing, photography, fashion, and product design. In that time frame, I’ve shot for CUPS App, Shop Makossa (online vintage store), Creative Mornings, along with started styling and began a clothing brand called SOOD (sood.co) in 2019. Since then, SOOD had grown to a team 6 and still growing and been published in Vogue, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Hinton Magazine, and Style Mag. SOOD also made it in stores in Soho, NY and has hosted many pop ups in person. My skill set for product design was mastered at UC Berkeley Extension and I’ve been using my creative skills learned over the years to help solve UX/UI problems at First Republic Bank, Afterpay, Thompson Reuters, Open Door Legal, and now at Amazon. I find myself being passionate for designing consumer products within the E-commerce space, being a merchant myself, I can empathize and understand what other merchant needs are. I’ve worked with all kinds of brands from beauty to fashion by helping them with their payment options on Shopify, helping them have prime shipping, and understanding the pre and post purchase checkout experience.

I’ve continued my learning journey by joining a Masters program at NYU studying Integrated Digital Media and have been exploring other areas of design such as: Creative Coding, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Film, and Wearable Technology. I’m looking to graduate in May 2024 with a thesis idea around Augmented Reality and UX Design. Giving back is extremely important to me because I wouldn’t have gotten to where I am without my mentor, because of that I’ve actively been mentoring at Springboard and Amazing Design People List and constantly doing talks on UX design.

Looking forward to connect :)
