San Jose Project Website and Branding Redesign

Project Type: Branding, Web Redesign, Social Media Strategy

Design Problem: San Jose Project is a non-profit community service organization dedicated to bridging the city and community through a day of service, beautifying and improving in-need schools in San Jose.  A 12-hour challenge required revamping the SJP website and branding, while creating a social media strategy and content.

Process: We worked with the client to understand their needs, pain points, and what the organization is about. We used the feedback to sketch out a few ideas for their logo, and presented two variations to the client who approved one. To revamp the website, we chose a free WordPress template and sketched out different experiences, then moved our best idea into a high-fidelity prototype.

Final Solution: A newly designed website and logo for the organization along with an Instagram channel with 50 photos. The clients discussed that three main issues for the website included the donations page, for users to be able to easily understand what the organization does, and calendar page. So we focused on creating a donations tab which was easy and simple and at the top of the website including with the calendar so users can easily see when the next events are. Lastly, we used great icons to describe what the organizations is about.

Limitations: Time Limitations and Money Limitations for WordPress themes.

Applications: Sketch, Invision, Illustrator, Keynote

Team: Worked with another Product Designer and Brand Designer.
